SICILY, Kamarina. Circa 425-405 BC. AR Tetradrachm (25mm, 17.40 g, 12h). Athena, holding reins in both hand, driving galloping quadriga left; above, Nike flying right, placing wreath tied with fillet on Athena's head; in exergue, heron flying left / Bearded head of Herakles left, wearing lion skin headdress; KAMAPINA-ION (retrograde) before. Westermark & Jenkins 138 (O3/R8); SNG ANS 1203; SNG Lloyd 864-5 (same dies); Rizzo pl. V, 7 = Pozzi 397; Gulbenkian 172 (same dies). EF, lightly toned, area of minor roughness on obverse, small die break on reverse. Exceptional for issue.
