KINGS of THRACE. Lysimachos. 305-281 BC. AV Stater (18mm, 8.53 g, 12h). Alexandria Troas mint. Struck 297/6-282/1. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΛYΣIMAXOY, Athena Nikephoros seated left, resting left arm on shield set on ground; spear behind; cornucopia to outer left, monogram to inner left. Meadows, Earliest 41 (A9/P22 – this coin referenced); Thompson 144; Müller 99. EF. Fine style.

The reverse die used to strike this issue was apparently a re-engraved die from the previous issue with a ligate ΘE in the exergue, as traces of that monogram are clearly visible on this coin.
