THRACO-MACEDONIAN REGION, Uncertain. Circa 500-480 BC. AR Hemiobol (8mm, 0.49 g). Bridled head of horse right / Dolphin left within incuse square. Cf. Tzamalis 87. Near EF, toned. Exceptional fraction.

The diagonally-oriented dolphin on this issue is reminiscent of the scorpion/dolphin fractions also from an uncertain mint in the Thraco-Macedonian region (cf. Rosen 400).
