IMP CAES P SEPT GETA PIVS AVG, laureate bust right, wearing aegis / CONCORDIAE AVGG, Caracalla and Geta standing vis-à-vis, each in military attire and holding spear in his left hand, clasping right hands. RIC IV 73b; Calicó 2876 (same dies as illustration); BMCRE p. 360 note †. Superb EF, slight die rust on obverse. Very rare.


Struck in celebration of Geta's elevation to Augustus, and the (hope of) concord between the two sons, now co-equals, of Septimius.
