Dated RY 24 of the Guāngxù Emperor (1898). “Made at the Fèngtiān machinery mint in year 4 and 20 of Guāngxù of the great Qīng dynasty,” in Manchu script around FUNG – TIEN (rosette) PROV INCE (rosette), “yì yuán,” in Hànzì / “zào jú qì jī tiān fèng nián sì shí èr xù guāng qīng dà,” (
Made at the Fèngtiān machinery mint in year 4 and 20 of Guāngxù of the great Qīng dynasty), flying imperial dragon facing, coiled around fireball and surrounded by stylized clouds. L&M 471; Kann 244; KM (Yeoman) 87. In NGC slab graded MS 62, toned, a few light die cracks on the reverse.
