(rosette) PHILIP · V · D · G · HISPAN · ET IND · REX, crowned abbreviated royal coat-of-arms; ·/M/F/(rosette) to left, (rosette)/8/(rosette)to right / (rosette) VTRAQUE VNUM ([He made them] both one) (rosette), crowned western and eastern hemispheres; to right and left, crowned composite column with encircling banner inscribed PLUS VLT(RA) (further beyond); all set on ground rising out of ocean waves; in exergue, mintmark and rosette on either side of 1744. Edge: wreath. Gilboy M-8-16; ME 9452; Calicó 797. In NGC holder graded UNC Details, lustrous, some surface hairlines and light graffito on the reverse.
