GEORGIVS · TERTIVS · REX in banner with curled ends, armored and draped bust left; T · PINGO · F on shoulder truncation; IN · REG · XXV · OCT · MDCCLX (Into the kingship 25 Oct[ober] 1760) in exergue / TELLVS JACTABIT ALVMNO (The Earth will glory in its foster-son), Britannia (as Cybele), wearing mural crown, seated facing, head left, on throne decorated with pine cone finial, holding tambourine in extended right hand; at her feet on either side of throne, recumbant lion with head facing, lion to right holding oval shield decorated with Union shield in forepaws; to left, four female figures holding hands and dancing around an oak tree; banner inscribed ROBVR BRITANNIÆ (Britian’s heart of oak); ADVLTÆ ÆTATIS DIES/FAUSTISSIMUS/IV • JUN • MDCCLIX (The most fortuitous day of his adult life, 4 Jun[e] 1759) in three lines in exergue.
