LESBOS, Unattributed early mint. 4th century BC. BI 1/3 Stater (14mm, 4.06 g, 3h). Youthful male head left, wearing tight-fitting (perhaps Thracian or Phrygian) cap / Head of roaring lion left within incuse square. SNG Copenhagen -; Winzer -; BMC 58, pl. XXXI, 3 (same dies?). Near VF, darkly toned. Extremely rare.

The portrait on the obverse is possibly that of an as yet unidentified Persian satrap.
