MESOPOTAMIA, Carrhae. Septimius Severus. AD 193-211. Æ (12mm, 1.68 g, 9h). CЄΠTIM[IOC?] CЄOVHPOC, laureate head right / KAP[...]NA, star above crescent set on ribboned base. BMC -; SNG Copenhagen -; SNG Hunterian -; SNG Milan -; SNG Righetti -; Lindgren & Kovacs -; Lindgren III -. VF, brown patina. A nicely preserved specimen.

The crude style and poor state of preservation of many of the pre-Caracllan coins of Carrhae can make attributing frustrating. Some similar coins listed in collections under Commodus may in fact belong to Severus.
