PTOLEMAIC KINGS of EGYPT. Ptolemy I Soter. 305-282 BC. AR Tetradrachm (27mm, 13.98 g, 12h). Alexandreia mint. Diademed head right, wearing aegis / Eagle standing left on thunderbolt; monogram to left, second monogram possibly to right. Svoronos 205 var.; SNG Copenhagen 88 var. Near VF, toned, numerous countermarks on both sides.
There appears to be a second control mark behind the eagle, but it has been largely erased by a countermark. The control before the eagle is recorded by Svoronos, but not with a secondary control mark.
