PTOLEMAIC KINGS of EGYPT. Cleopatra VII Thea Neotera. 51-30 BC. Æ (23mm, 9.72 g, 12h). Damaskos mint. Dated SE 276 (37/6 BC). Diademed and draped bust of Cleopatra right / Tyche seated left on rock outcropping, extending hand and holding cornucopia; 4OΣ (date) and grain ear to left; at feet, river-god Chrysoroas swimming right; all within wreath. Svoronos 1890; SNG Copenhagen 419; RPC I 4783. Near VF, dark brown, almost black, patina. Excellent for issue. A fine portrait of Egypt’s most famous queen.
