Most of the Imperial coinage from this city bears the heads of Boule, the Senate or Gerousia. This remarkable, rare piece bears an idealized head of the city’s founder, Antiochos I, and is one of the few instances where an Imperial coin bears the head of a Hellenistic ruler.
