JUDAEA, Caesarea Maritima. Claudius. AD 41-54. Æ (21mm, 7.14 g, 12h). Laureate head right / Anchor upright within wreath. Meshorer 356; Rosenberger 1; SNG ANS 744; RPC I 4848. Fine, rough green-brown surfaces.
A larger denomination in this series has a rudder motif. The attribution to Caesarea is not certain, but is supported by site finds and the maritime theme.
