THESSALY, Krannon. First half of the 4th century BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 13mm, 2.18 g 5). Head of Thessalos to right, wearing petasos, with, on his left, head of bridled horse to right.
Rev. ΚΡΑΝΝ (
retrograde) Bull butting to right, head lowered; above, trident to right; below, V. Rogers 172a var. (Atrax). Rare. An attractive piece with a black patina. Extremely fine.
