(ΣAN not ΣAM; same rev. die). VF, toned, struck from worn obverse die. Extremely rare issue with ΣAN.

HN Italy 1873, with ΣAM, erroneously references SNG Ashmoleon 984, where only the ΣA is visible. However, the appearance of this coin, from the same reverse die, clarifies the reading, revealing the third letter to be an N, not M.
