LOCAL ISSUES, Uncertain. 5th-7th centuries. Jeweler’s Mold. Overall dimensions: 39 mm in diameter, and 14 mm in depth. Weight: 17.63 grams. Semi-spherical fired clay mold with incuse design for making repoussée bracteates. Design is laurel-and-rosette diademed, draped, and cuirassed Late Roman-style bust right, all within pelleted border. Unpublished in the standard references. VF, traces of earthen patina, some minor chipping due to use.
