Marcus Aurelius. AD 161-180. Æ As (28mm, 10.87 g, 12h). Rome mint. Struck AD 177. Laureate bust right, slight drapery / Galley left with four rowers; at stern, Neptune seated left, holding dolphin and trident. Cf. RIC III 1196; cf. MIR 18, 379-9 (both refs. for rev. type; bust type unlisted). Good VF, brown and green patina, minor smoothing. Rare bust type for this denomination.
