Silver ring insert. Roman, circa 300 AD. Intaglio scene of the Adoration of the Magi: the Virgin Mary seated holding the infant Christ, being approached by the three magi raising their right hands in salute; MARIA behind the seated Virgin, christogram above Christ’s head. Diameter: 12mm. Very well preserved and leaving a wonderful impression.
