IRELAND. Edward IV. Second reign, 1471-1483. AR Groat (25mm, 1.85 g, 7h). Light coinage, type VI. Drogheda mint; im: pierced cross fitchée. Struck circa 1473-1478. ЄDWΛRDVS : DЄI : GRΛ DmS hУBЄRnI, crowned facing bust, with G on breast; all within tressure of arches, with lis on each cusp / POSVI DЄVm × ΛDIVTOR Є mЄVm/VILL Λ (double saltire) DЄ DROG hЄDΛ, long cross pattée, with three pellets in each angle; central annulet in two angles, flanking smaller pellets in other two angles. Cf. SCBI 55 (Hermitage), 493; D&F 134; cf. SCBC 6339A. Fair, toned, several flan cracks, though still intact. Rare.
