The Triumvirs. Octavian. Autumn 30-summer 29 BC. AR Denarius (21mm, 3.45 g, 5h). Italian (Rome?) mint. Bare head left / Ithyphallic boundary-stone of Jupiter Terminus, surmounted by laureate head of Octavian facing; winged thunderbolt below. RIC I 269b; CRI 426; BMCRE 630; RSC 114a. Fine, lightly toned, uncertain obverse graffiti, numerous light pricks and scratches, banker’s mark on reverse.
