SELEUKID KINGS of SYRIA. Antiochos IV Epiphanes. 175-164 BC. Æ (32mm, 38.35 g, 12h). “Egyptianizing” series. Antioch mint. Struck 169-168 BC. Laureate head of Zeus-Serapis right, wearing tainia with Osiris crown at tip / Eagle standing right on thunderbolt. SC 1413 (this coin referenced); HGC 9, 643; CSE 119 (this coin). Good VF, dark brown patina with some earthen encrustation around the devices, some light scratches on the reverse where some earthen encrustation has been removed.
