GAUL, Nemausus. Augustus, with Agrippa. 27 BC-AD 14. Æ As(?) (27mm, 12.53 g, 12h). Struck circa 9/8-3 BC. Heads of Agrippa, wearing rostral crown and wreath, left and Augustus, wearing oak wreath, right, back to back / Crocodile right chained to palm branch with short fronds; wreath with long ties above, palms below. RPC 524; RIC I 158; SNG Copenhagen 699-701 var. (Augustus with laurel wreath); CRE Ashmolean 425 (same obv. die). Good VF, dark brown patina. Well centered and exceptional for issue.
