THESSALY, Koinon of Thessaly. Augustus. 27 BC-AD 14. Æ Tetrassarion or Sestertius (32mm, 18.68 g, 12h). Laureate head right / Large wreath with central jewel and wreath ties upwards. RPC Supp. 1426A; Rogers -; BCD Thessaly 1397. Good VF, dark blue-green patina. Very rare.
BCD noted that this large denomination never has the reverse legend fully struck up, as the design was too large for the flan.
