LESBOS, Mytilene. Valerian I. AD 253-260. Æ (33mm, 19.23 g, 12h). Bal(...) Aristomachus, strategus. Laureate and cuirassed bust left, holding spear and shield decorated with aegis / Artemis, drawing bow from quiver and holding bow, standing right in biga drawn by stags. Cf. SNG München 804 (for obv. die); SNG von Aulock 1759 (same dies). Good VF, tan patina. Very rare.
