Augustus. 27 BC-AD 14. AV Aureus (19mm, 7.98 g, 12h). Tarraco mint . Struck 17-16 BC. Bare head right / AVGVSTVS below, capricorn right, holding globe attached to rudder between front hooves; cornucopia above its back. RIC I 125 (Colonia Caesaraugusta[?]); Calicó 164 (same dies as illustration); cf. Leu 91, lot 502 (same dies). Good VF, some light scratches and edge marks, probably ex jewelry. Bold portrait.
