Trebonianus Gallus. AD 251-253. AV Heavy Aureus – Binio (22mm, 6.24 g, 7h). Rome mint. Special emission, AD 251. IMP CAE C VIB TREB GALLVS AVG, radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / SALVS AVGG, Salus standing right, holding and feeding serpent from patera. RIC IV 13; Calicó 3346 (same dies as illustration). Superb EF. Unusually sharp strike for issue. Very rare.
