(in Blackletter [Gothic script]), crowned bust left, wearing mantle decorated with roses, thistles, and shamrocks / tueatur unita deus anno mdcccxlvii (in Blackletter [Gothic script]), crowned cruciform coats-of-arms around rayed Garter Star; roses, thistle, and shamrock in angles; all within polylobe with lis in arches. ESC 288; SCBC 3883. Proof, but impaired to Near EF, lightly toned and lustrous, a few light cleaning marks.
