Bronze fenestrared axe. Near Eastern, early 2nd millennium. Semi-ovoid form, with two apertures between socket and blade. Maximum length: 8.7cm. Such “eye axes” are found predominantly in Syria and Palestine, to a lesser extent in Anatolia and Mesopotamia.
