ANGLO-SAXON, Kings of All England. Cnut. 1016-1035. AR Cut Halfpenny (19mm, 0.50 g). Quatrefoil type (BMC viii). Maldon mint; Aelfwine, moneyer. Struck circa 1017-1023. Crowned bust left in quatrefoil / Voided long cross with triple-crescent ends and pellet at center, over quatrefoil. SCBC 1157; SCBI 15 (Copenhagen), 3117 (same dies). Good VF. Rare.
