KINGS of BOSPOROS. Asander. Circa 47-17 BC. Stater (Gold, 8.17 g 12), regnal year 4, c. 43/2 BC. Diademed head of Asander to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΣΑΝΔΡΟΥ Δ Nike striding left on prow of galley, holding wreath in her right hand and palm in her left. RPC I, 1847. Very rare and of considerable historical interest. Obverse very slightly double struck, otherwise, about extremely fine.
