This writer fully agrees with ASW’s note in Nomos 4, 1093, that these coins should be dated later than the middle of the 4th century BC. See BCD Lokris-Phokis (NAC 55) 112.1, one of the many examples of contemporary Lokri bronzes with an obverse that bears a close resemblance to the obverse of this coin. These bronzes are independently dated by Diana Delbridge, who is currently working on their corpus, to the last quarter of the century.
