THESSALY, Larissa. Mid 4th century BC. AR Drachm (20mm, 6.17 g, 3h). Head of the nymph Larissa three-quarter facing r., wearing pendant earring and plain necklace; border of dots / ΛΑΡΙΣ above, ΑΙΩΝ in exergue, horse with straight legs feeding r. on solid ground line. Herrmann, pl. VII, 5. Near EF, attractively toned and sharply struck, a very fresh coin. There are a couple of minor flaws on Larissa’s face and letters are double struck as also is the horse’s head.
