THESSALY, Oitaioi. 304-280 BC. AR Hemidrachm (15mm, 2.33 g, 11h). Lion’s head l., spear in its jaws / OITΑI r. down, ΩΝ l. down, Herakles, naked, standing facing, holding club with both hands transversely across his chest. Valassiadis p. 177, pl. 1, 6; SNG Cop. 180; SNG Lockett, 1589; see also Nomos 4, 1215 (same dies). VF, toned; obv. marginally off centre; the rev. with traces of double striking.
