THESSALY, Oitaioi. After 167 BC. AR Hemidrachm (14mm, 2.13 g, 1h). Lion’s head l., spear in its jaws / OITΑI r. down, ΩΝ l. down, Herakles, naked, standing facing, holding club with both hands transversely across his chest. BMC p. 37, 9, pl. VII, 13; see also Vinchon 20 May 1959, 483 (same obv. die). Near VF, lightly toned; some deposits and partly flat struck on the reverse.
