THESSALY, Orthe. Late 4th century BC. Æ Trichalkon (21mm, 7.29 g, 12h). Head of Athena r., wearing Corinthian helmet with serpent coiled on bowl, border of dots / OPʘIEIΩN from l., down to r. and circular, forepart of horse r. emerging from rocks on which grows olive tree; all in wreath. Rogers 441, fig. 226; see also Nomos 4, 1220. VF, medium to dark chocolate patina, a pleasing coin.
