THESSALY, Peirasia. Second half of 4th century BC. AR Obol (11.5mm, 0.96 g, 8h). Young male head l., hair in large curls and bound by tainia / ΠE-PAΣ-IE from top r., down circular, warrior, naked but for his plumed Corinthian helmet, seen three-quarter l. from behind, advancing in fighting attitude, holding shield with l. and horizontal spear with r. Pendleton O 3 (O3/R3) a, and pl. 3, 17; also, enlarged, on pl. 4, 17A (this coin). Good Fine, toned; obv. porosity, mostly on the right side, rev. lightly crystallized surfaces; very rare.
