THESSALY, Peirasia. Late 4th to early 3rd centuries BC. Æ Chalkous (12mm, 1.60 g, 12h). Head of Athena r., wearing round pendant earring and crested Corinthian helmet, its bowl decorated with a serpent, border of dots / ΠEIPAΣIE l. up, ΩN r. down, Athena Itonia in long tunic and wearing crested helmet, advancing r. with spear and shield. Pendleton BS 2 (O2/R2)a, and pl. 4, 2 (this coin). Good Fine, dark gray-brown patina with some red on the reverse, surfaces slightly rough and the reverse a little off centre; extremely rare.
