THESSALY, Pelinna. Last quarter of 5th century BC. AR Obol (13.5mm, 0.92 g, 1h). Horse pacing l., border of dots / Π-EΛ r. down, NI below, A upright to l., warrior, in fighting attitude, seen three-quarter l. from behind, wearing petasos and short chiton, holding spear in raised r. and two more spears and shield in his l., all in shallow incuse square with rounded edges. See Peus 384 (2 November 2005) 200 (same dies). VF, lightly toned with minor surface granularity; the obv. marginally off centre and the rev. very slightly double struck.
This and the next coin are essentially the same type and they share an obverse die; they were both included because their reverses differ in minor details.
