Thessalian cavalryman, wearing chlamys and petasos and holding two spears, riding horse walking l., below horse, altar; border of dots / Π-E-P-A from top r., to l., retrograde and circular, Athena in chiton and himation and with her hair rolled in a bun behind her head, seated l. on chair with curving legs and back, her feet resting on very low stool, holding crested helmet with lowered cheekpieces. This coin shares a reverse die with Nomos 4, 1240 which means that the obverses with and without the altar below the horse are contemporary.
