THESSALY, Phalanna. 4th century BC. Æ Trichalkon (20mm, 7.72 g, 3h). Youthful male head r., behind Φ; linear border / ΦAΛANNAIΩN from above, r. down circular, head of nymph r., wearing triangular pendant earring and plain necklace, her hair bound in a sakkos tied at the back. Not in Rogers; Papaevangelou-Genakos 5; see also CNG 82 (16 September 2009) 475. Good Fine, green patina with some areas of red, mainly on the obv., surfaces a little rough with some deposit leftovers and minor pitting in a few spots.

Youthful male head r., border of dots / ΦAΛANNA[IΩN] from the l., above and to r. down circular, head of nymph r., wearing single pendant earring and plain necklace, her hair bound in a sakkos tied at the back. Papaevangelou-Genakos 6. VF, green patina with a few minor surface abrasions; high relief and fine style, attractive.
