THESSALY, Pharkadon. Last quarter of the 5th to 1st quarter of the 4th centuries BC. AR Obol (13mm, 0.61 g, 11h). Horse pacing r., border of dots / Φ[A] above r., P r. down, KAΔO l. up, Athena, wearing aegis with snakes, standing r. in long robes and crested helmet; spear and shield leaning on her l. side, her r. hand on her waist; all in shallow incuse square. See CNG e-sale 211 (3 June 2009) 223 (same letter arrangement but not same dies). Near VF, very lightly toned; a rare variety with a clear and well-struck reverse.
