THESSALY, Pharsalos. Mid to late 5th century BC. AR Hemiobol (8.5mm, 0.48 g, 7h). Head of Athena r., wearing crested Attic helmet / Φ below to r, horse’s head and neck r., all in an incuse square. Lavva p. 124, 37 and 37a (same rev. die) (V22a/R25a); see also Nomos 4, 1281 (different dies). Near VF, lightly toned; both sides slightly off centre; die break across the Φ on the reverse.
