THESSALY, Pharsalos. 3rd quarter of the 4th century BC. AR Hemidrachm (15.5mm, 2.74 g, 6h). Head of Athena l., wearing pearl necklace, pendant earring and crested Attic helmet with raised cheek flaps, adorned with scroll and olive twigs; A behind neck / Φ-A-P-ΣA from top r., down and circular, horse’s head and neck r. in flat, slightly concave field. Lavva 160 (V74/R93) (these dies). VF, nicely toned and well struck and centred, a pleasing coin.
