THESSALY, Pherai. Teisiphon. Tyrant, 358-353 BC. Æ Chalkous (15mm, 1.94 g, 11h). Female head r., hair rolled around her head, wearing small pendant earring / ΤEIΣIΦON[OY] from above, l. down circular, forepart of horse r. Unpublished, unknown and unique (?). Near Fine, dark green patina; both sides softly struck and off centre.

It looks as if these dies were re-engraved on earlier (Teisiphon ?) dies by an incompetent celator; the coin looks as if it was struck in a hurry and by someone who did not know how to strike coins. We cannot even guess the story behind it until more are found, if there are more to be found...
