THESSALY, Pherai. 3rd century BC. Æ Trichalkon (20mm, 6.95 g, 12h). Lion’s head r. / Φ-E-PAIΩN from lower l., up to r. and circular, Ennodia, veiled, wearing long robes and holding torch in each hand, seated facing on horse trotting l. Rogers 517, fig. 281 var. [legend incomplete]; see also Nomos 4, 1319 and CNG 82 (16 September 2009) 476, both with differently divided legends. Near VF, dark reddish green patina; minor surface roughness on the reverse.

Lion’s head r. / ΦE-PA[IΩN] from middle l., up to r. and circular, Ennodia, veiled, wearing long robes and holding torch in each hand, seated facing on horse trotting l. Rogers 518, fig 282; see also CNG 87 (18 May 2011) 421 (same dies). Good Fine, dark green patina, the reverse slightly off centre.
