THESSALY, Thebai. Early 3rd century BC. AR Hemidrachm (16mm, 2.69 g, 12h). Veiled head of Demeter r., wearing grain wreath / ʘHBAIΩN l. up, Protesilaos, armoured and wearing short chiton and crested helmet, holding shield with his l. and sword in his r., stepping off the prow of a galley; below, waves. SNG Cop. 259. Good VF, lightly toned with an easily removable film of redeposited silver on the top l. part of the obverse. From the collection of Olga Knoepke.
