THESSALY, Thessalian League. Late 2nd – mid 1st century BC. AR Stater (20mm, 5.87 g, 12h). Eurydamas and Hegesaretos, magistrates. Head of Zeus right, wearing oak wreath / ΘEΣΣA/ΛΩN, Athena Itonia striding right, hurling spear held in her right hand, shield on her left arm; EY-PYΔA/M-A/N-T/O-Σ above spear and across central fields, HΓHΣAPET[OΣ] in exergue. See Nomos 4, 1381. VF, toned, surface porosity; scarce.
The reading of the magistrates’ names on this coin correct the reading for the 16th entry on p. 345 of Klose.

Head of Zeus right, wearing laurel wreath / ΘEΣΣA/ΛΩN, Athena Itonia striding right, hurling spear held in her right hand, shield on her left arm; HPA-KΛEI[...] above spear, monogram in inner right field, HΓHΣI[...] in exergue. Not found in the consulted references. VF, recently cleaned, starting to retone, a few scratches in the reverse field; extremely rare.

Not found in the consulted references. Near VF, rough surfaces; extremely rare.
The exergue name could be [ATP]EΣT[IΔHΣ] who also occurs in lots 833 and 870.1 above.
