(879.1) THESSALY, Thessalian League. Mid – late 1st century BC. AR Stater (21mm, 5.47 g, 12h). Eubiotos and Eukolos, magistrates. Head of Zeus right, wearing laurel wreath; Φ to left / ΘEΣΣA/ΛΩN, Athena Itonia striding right, hurling spear held in her right hand, shield on her left arm; EYBI-OTOY above spear, Φ in inner right field, EYKOΛOΣ in exergue. Not found in the consulted references. Near VF, slightly off-center and from a worn obverse die; extremely rare.

Head of Zeus right, wearing oak wreath / ΘEΣΣA/ΛΩN, Athena Itonia striding right, hurling spear held in her right hand, shield on her left arm; APMO-ΔIOY above spear, KPATEPOΦPΩN in exergue.
