AYT Λ CЄΠ CЄBHPOC [Π], laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Septimius right / ΛO CЄ [ΓЄ]TAN ΘЄCCAΛOI, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Geta right; B (mark of value) below. Burrer, MA-G 13 var. (legends); Rogers –. Near VF, dark green patina, a few minor pits; extremely rare, apparently the second known (?).

For the only other known coin of two assaria with the portraits of Septimius Severus and his son Geta see Nomos 4, 1417. The dies are different and the Emperor’s portrait too, but the Geta die is engraved by the same hand.
