ÞAO KA NhÞKI KOÞANO, Kanishka, diademed and crowned, standing facing, head left, holding goad and scepter, sacrificing over altar to left; [flame at shoulder] / SAKAMANO BOUDO (in Kushan, some letters retrograde or inverted), standing Śākyamuni Buddha: Buddha standing facing, hand raised in gesture of

Buddha 42 (dies q/15); MK 785.3 and 785.5 (same rev. die); Donum Burns 175. Near EF, dark green and brown patina, minor area of weak strike at head, sharp details with nearly full legends. Perhaps the finest specimen of this important type known.
